Boasting views of the sea and the Marina Bay area, the apartment was acquired by an owner who sought to build a statement home. Open Studio was tasked to give a fresh breathe of elegance and contemporary opulence to this 1,600sqft apartment located along Meyer Road.

Without reconfiguration to the original layout, new facades were introduced to affect the space. A previously irregular floor plan was realigned via these introduced facades to give subtle architectural formality. Materially, these new facades emerged through layering of natural elements as the means in seeking elegance, spatial rigueur and contemporary opulence.

As the key feature, a full height copper paneling was inserted for its exuded warmth to complement a generous walnut portal and travertine TV console. Each and every element was given a unique family of details that respects it materiality, completing a collage of layered luxurious facades.

Natural walnut veneer anchors the apartment through from the common spaces to the private spaces. These private bedroom spaces were designed as private and calm sanctuary to juxtapose the highly detailed living and dining room. This was achieved through the addition of soft finishing in warm grey and curated selection of designer lamps.

Curated pieces of statement furniture pieces adorn the apartment all which melds seamlessly to conjure a luxurious vision to be proud of.

For an understated aesthetic, we selected a cream leather for both the Otis couch and Ella Easy lounge chair.
