The restaurant is a 46-seater noodle bar. The design concept was informed by its menu; a hybrid of traditional Japanese and modern Western flavours. The exploration was hence, a balancing act between the aesthetics of the two cultures. While the interior architecture created strong lines in the shop, the overall aesthetics is pared down by the restraint use of neutral finishes. Nestled amidst the chaotic surroundings of a shopping mall, the result is a space of respite from the busy visual pollution.

The entrance is kept porous to maintain sight lines between the common areas and shop interior.
The centerpiece of the shop is a hanging garden above the bar counter. The slender frames is a reference to post-modern Japanese designs.
The hanging garden houses timber panels that could be used for branding or menu elements.
Diners at the bar counter gets to experience the hanging garden up-close.
The overall palette creates a clean, bright, and unobtrusive dining environment.
The overall design is composed of severe rectilinear proportions.
Nestled amidst a chaotic mall, the shop is a space of respite from the busy visual pollution.
The booth seating, similarly, is a a pairing of slender frames with overhead planter boxes.
Customised brass tubes forms the light fixture for the booth seats.
